CARE Transit

Program Intended For:

  • Residents of Hope and Area who:

    • Have no other way of getting to medical appointments and other imperative services
    • Please Note: People wishing to access these services must go through a referral process before services can be provided. This can be accessed through Free Rein.

Goals & Objectives:

  • To improve social conditions that impact community and individual health for disadvantaged individuals
  • To improve the health of individuals by allowing them to attend activities that promote individual health
  • MOST importantly to improve economic conditions for disadvantaged individuals/groups by providing accessible and affordable transportation

Program Facilitation:

  • CARE Transit is managed by a society board and administrated through Free Rein
  • It is funded through community donations such as The District of Hope, Fraser Health Authority, MCFD and individual donations

Benefits & Features:

  • Care Transit amalgamates all of our goals and objectives to make sure members of the community connect, which is the fundamental objective of this program.
