Community Assistance Program (CAP)

Program Intended For:

  • Residents of Hope and Area who have:

    • a diagnosed mental illness
    • an identified substance abuse problem
    • less than grade 10 who have an identified problem with basic literacy
    • any age group where high unemployment exists
    • homelessness 

Goals & Objectives:

  • To assist people facing multiple barriers to connect with the community on various levels.

Benefits & Features:

  • This is a group based program, with the opportunity for one-on-one.
  • Individuals will have the opportunity to participate in sessions to facilitate growth, breaking down barriers and getting connected with people, community and organizations through activities, exercises and outings.
  • The facilitator assesses participant needs and creates activities and lessons to assist in meeting these needs in a safe and open environment
